Out of the mouths of babes . . .

It's Zachary's birthday. He's partied out. We've milked this birthday thing now for 5 days now. I remember so clearly the first day of his life, and the first night. It's easy to remember because he cried the whole night and didn't sleep at all. I'll never forget that!

In honor of his birthday, I thought I would write some of the funniest things he's said in his short life.

*To a very large woman at Publix, while I was pregnant: "Do you have a baby in your belly too?" When she replied no, he said "It just looks like you do."

*When I told him his piano teacher is not Ms. C (her first name) but Dr. W (her last name) he looked at me, confused. I told him she was a doctor of piano. "Is her piano sick?"

*After reading a billboard that said Injured? Call a lawyer! "Does a lawyer help the doctor when you're sick?"

*To Grandpa: "Where is your hair? Did you leave it at home?"

*In Key West, after passing a heavily tattooed man: "Why did he write all over his arms and legs?"

Ah, good memories, all of them. Happy Birthday, my son. I'm so glad there is no more cake to eat!
