No Time to Blog!

Ok, I'm knee deep in boxes and utter chaos. But I am creating Christmas Central! I have no time to blog, since I still have SO much left to do. We got the garland up on the upstairs balcony, the large wreaths out by the entrance to the driveway, the tree in the dining room (it's an angel theme this year), and I have the main tree up with lights on it. I still have the upstairs tree, the mini trees in my room and Zachary's room, and the sea shell tree. Ryan and I found a motorized light up skiing polar bear today at Home Deport. Today, Ryan "launched" it on our kayak into the lake behind our house. It looks great, especially at night.

Here are some photos:

Here is Ryan working on his "creation" - preparing it for the lake.

Daddy, can I help you set the anchor? This red oval is really cool!

I say "Who's the cutest little boy in the whole wide world?" Zachary says "I am!!!"

Launching the kayak . . . .

And the finished product. The polar bear is facing the road to our subdivision, and he'll greet the visitors to the Marriott and the condos across the street. Merry Christmas! Okay, now I gotta get back to work!

Melanie - you are a hilarious! I would love to see what my kids could do to your decorations in a matter of minutes. Seconds, really. I'll be lucky to get a tree by Christmas Eve.

I cringe at the thought, Michele! I KNOW I'm lucky that Zachary doesn't get into things. He's quite content to walk by the tree and touch it gently. Last year as it got closer to Christmas he began pulling a few ornaments off the tree and bringing them to me. That's why I put either the unbreakables or the inexpensive ones near the bottom of the trees. He doesn't know he could tear down the tree and destroy it, since he doesn't have three other siblings to help him come up with that idea!

Last year mine conspired to pull chairs over and were literally climbing up the tree. We had to take our dining room chairs and barricade the tree. It was lovely. This year, we'll have Austin to contend with! I'm sure my one, darling little baby will be no problem, hahahahahahha

I love Christmas and love my tree but am sort of dreading putting it up...my little busy body will be pulling & tugging at it for sure. He's bad for opening & closing cupboard doors & will destroy the tree with how rough he is - LOL!

Z man is adorable & congrats on his schedule working while you were visiting your Mom!!!

I can't wait to see your decorations completed.

So did Ryan have to swim back? If so, why aren't there pictures of that?

Kurt, LOL! We rigged a line to run the boat back after Ryan set the anchor, then tightened that line up to a caribiner. It's got a line to the anchor off the bow, and a line of the stern to the dock. It was about as challenging as docking Southern Cross!
